Bond St Bar & Kitchen is a trendy little bar right in the heart of Kingsland who play our swing music all night from 8pm every second Thursday. They do regular $5 drinks and $5 tapas on a Thursday so come along and join us, and bring your friends too!

Great music, great ambience, great people, great dancing! What more could you ask for?!?

What could be better - 3 hours of the coolest hepcats and swing kittens in town dancing to the hottest swing band in town at the trendiest new venue in town !! That's right folks, The Swing Station, Tuxedo Swing Orchestra, and The Juice Bar are joining forces to bring you a fabulous new music and dancing experience.....every month ! Spread the word !

• When - every 3rd Sunday of the month - band from 6-9pm - then DJ after party
• Cost: $20 at the door

The Juice Bar is THE HOTTEST new live music in town, and we are very lucky that they want to make SWING part of their monthly program! If you haven't been there yet, make sure you go and check it out - whether to swing dance with us at the Juice Bar - or to grab a bite to eat at the adjoining Windsor Tavern - or to chill out with a cool drink in the Cabana Bar out back !

A Saturday night dance, whipee! Come and join us and The Society Jazzmen for a night of great music and dancing at their newly renovated clubrooms - including a brand spanking new dance floor. And being a club, there will of course be very reasonably priced drinks....not to mention a complimentary one included as part of your entry fee.

• Saturday 4 September 7.30pm - 11.30pm
• Band from 8pm
• University / Mt Wellington club rooms, 3 Ireland Rd, Panmure [google map]
• $15 entry (includes complimentary drink)

Directions: Alas, this is the weekend when the southbound lanes of the Sourthern Motorway are closed for the Newmarket Viaduct switch, but have no fear, all roads lead to Panmure, and there is plenty of information and suggested detours online at the following sites: www.nzta.govt.nz/newmarketconnection and www.facebook.com/switchmyroute.
From the city and North Shore the best option is probably to go along Tamaki Drive up to Kohimarama Rd and Aprina Ave. Once at the Panmure roundabout, turn into Ireland Road, and turn right into Bill McKinlay Park (just a few metres along Ireland Road, next to the AA testing station). There is plenty of parking on the grounds.

nz balboa & blues exchange | 1-3 october 2010

Another great weekend coming up everyone, this time focusing on Balboa and Blues. We have two amazing international teachers coming over, and some awesome workshops and social events lined up for you. Registration is now open, with an earlybird discount until 31 August.
